When we moved to Colorado Springs, our company provided us an opportunity to take an early trip to look for a house.  When we arrived and began working with a realtor, we first looked at homes on the Multiple Listing Service, but did not find anything that met our needs.  Most homes are 2-story, and we were looking for a one-floor home (with full basement) to meet medical needs of the primary living space being on the first floor.  After looking at homes for 4 days, our realtor decided to take us to look at a few model homes.  We looked at the model homes for three different builders, and the various floor plans they offered.  One of those three builders was Goetzmann homes.    read more

We bought our home from Goetzmann Custom Homes in late 2010 after a long and exhaustive search.  Our new home has provided us so much more in quality and features than any other home we saw and at a much better value.  Other builders in northern Colorado Springs could not touch what Phil provided us.  His homes go "above and beyond" a standard build, but the affordability is still there.  The process of negotiating and purchasing our new home was so professional and effortless that it only added to the beauty of the home we received.  Phil was always available through each and every step of our purchase.  He personally performed the final walk through with us and came back and did the punchlist items himself.  He knows each and every home he builds and adds that personal touch to each.  I have been in commercial construction for over 25 years and each day that I come home from work I am amazed at the quality and comfort of our home.  Our home was built to Energy Star standards and our heating bill went down by 75% from our previous Colorado Springs home.  You will not be disappointed with a Goetzmann home.

After building a Goetzmann home in Wolf Ranch, a change in jobs necessitated a move closer to Denver. Luckily, Goetzmann Homes was building in Jackson Creek and we were able to "customize" the second build to EVERY detail. The whole process from contract all to way to closing was very detailed. We found the whole process efficient, effective, but painless.  Everything we wanted in our "Dream Home" was delivered and now we're living the dream.

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of building our first home with Goetzmann Homes. Goetzmann is a smaller home building company and provided more quality for the money. The willingness of Phil Goetzmann and his staff to work with us to make custom changes and upgrades at a reasonable cost allowed us to create a house with a truly custom feel. Phil has a great team of sub-contractors and the relationship he fosters is evident in their pride in craftsmanship. The sales staff was involved each step of the way and provided valuable insight to the decision process and served as our advocate throughout the building process. After building a beautiful home, Phil took the time during the final walkthrough to explain details to us and fixed any concerns we had about the smallest details. He didn't pressure us to accept anything and didn't minimize our concerns. He created an atmosphere of trust and I know if we did have a problem he would have it fixed in no time. I doubt there is another builder in town that will provide as much access to the owner of the company and have a sales staff so intimately involved with the process. The attention to detail, quality craftsmanship and custom details allowed us to build something special...now we are living in our dream home!

We were in Colorado Springs looking around and found Wolf Ranch and then the Goetzmann Homes model home and loved it and met Rhoda there and she was excellent!  We chose Goetzmann Homes because we loved the Pinecrest house plan, the people who worked for Goetzmann Homes and the price of the house and the options in it were what we were looking for.  We were also pleased to see on their website that there were repeat buyers which speaks volumes.  

Our experience thus far has been fantastic although we are still at the beginning stages.  The lot we picked was a popular one but we never felt pressured to move forward.  Everyone we have been in contact with at Goetzmann Homes has far exceeded our expectations.  I just spent two days with Jane who dropped everything to make my color selection go so well.  Lisa from Floor Craft was great to work with and made color selection decisions go so smoothly.  Karen has been so good to us from the get go.  

I would highly recommend them to a friend again based on our experience thus far.  We have not felt pressured at all and they have been extremely helpful and willing to work around our schedule since we are doing this from out of state.  We are building in Wolf Ranch because we liked the neighborhood and house plan.  We have young children and it suits are family well.

After spending three months walking through scores of Colorado Springs new-construction and model homes, we happened upon a Goetzmann Speculation Home.  My wife and I were stunned at the workmanship, attention to detail, and quality construction readily apparent within the inventory home as compared to other builders’ homes.  

After studying varying design options, we realized we liked every aspect of one particular home except the kitchen.  Conversely, my wife fell in love with the kitchen design of another home but the other portions of the home did not suit our needs.  When I explained this quandary to the Sales Agent, she did not hesitate with the following offer, “Well, why don’t you sit down with Phil and he can design some options for you and develop a hybrid of what you like best in both homes.”  What?  Meet the owner of a Construction Company?  Build a semi-custom home not IAW the standard design?  Two days later I found myself sitting down with the OWNER in a very relaxed setting.  He proceeded to listen to what we thought we would like, and he subsequently sketched what we described into a modified floor plan.  He incorporated the Kitchen Design of one home into the basic design of another.  Ostensibly it did not matter WHAT the owner was telling me during our first meeting.  By virtue of the fact he was willing and able to SPEND an hour and a half with me spoke volumes and suggested a close and receptive relationship during the subsequent construction process.  Suffice to say my wife was ecstatic to learn her kitchen could be incorporated and our exuberance continued from purchase agreement, house design, and construction.

The quality construction drew me in.  The straight-forward sales team sans typical sales tactics or hyperbole set the hook.  Having the owner easily incorporate our semi-custom modification sealed the deal.

We happened across the Goetzmann Homes website when searching for houses in Colorado Springs online and fell in love with the ‘FOSTER’ model in their virtual tour.  We came to Denver for Christmas and made a trip down to see it and instantly fell in love.  As we began working with Rhoda, Karen and the whole crew, we knew we had found our next home!  Our overall experience with Phil, Jane and the sales team was fantastic.  Further, whenever we met somebody who had a home built by Phil they always spoke very highly of him, his thoroughness, and his follow-up after purchase.  Throughout the complete building process, Phil and his team were extremely pleasant to work with and they made a sometimes tiresome process a complete joy.  We have been in the house for over a month now and know we made the right choice by choosing Goetzmann Homes to build our new dream home!
